SGL Leadership Meeting: September 1, 2025

Online tournaments are continuing to start up. Make sure, if your online tournament hasn't yet started to get your qualifiers or brackets going. October 15, 2025.

For in-person events, we need all tournament organizers to get their rules, guidance, brackets, etc. as soon as possible. Thanks.

Donations for in-person are available still for the in-person event, up through the end of the tournaments.

Commentators should continue to push the prize pools, if the community is interested, even while the live event is ongoing.

Races for live tournaments will be scheduled by a form that Sigma is currently developing. When the form site is ready, players will be able to schedule their slots in the tournament room ahead of time and all seats will be set on a first-come, first-served basis. If seats are not available, those slots will not be available for scheduling. Players should show up 15 minutes before their race should start.

Super Mario Odyssey has backed out of the live event. Players are still welcome to attend, and if a side-tournament just for fun is desired, it can be run by the players.

If you are running a side event, please reach out to us ASAP for organization. SGL doesn't run the side events, they are run by the attendees, and are an ad hoc, as can be run kind of event. SGL won't be supporting these events with tournament staff or seating. Please be mindful that SGL is for SGL main events first. Side events must be planed and ready by October 1.

Attendees under the age of 16 must be with a parent or guardian for the event. Children 13 and up must have a SGL pass to attend. Passes for children 12 and under are free. Reminder, though, that SGL is a tournament event space. All children attending must be supervised by their parent or guardian. SGL is not a daycare.

For merch, the form for people paying for a higher membership tier at SGL did not have a space for people to fill in what shirt size they wanted. In the future (SGL 2026 and beyond) we will make sure there will be a field for people fill in what shirt size they need. For 2025, Super VIP Tier ticket attendees will be contacted by Clifford for their exclusive VIP t-shirt size. Please respond to this message in a timely matter to ensure receiving your t-shirt at the event.
